Our Doctors
We are proud of our entire staff at the Holly Endoscopy Clinic. Specifically, we have 20 highly trained physicians conducting our upper and lower endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Douglas Hamilton, our medical director at Holly Clinic, was the Founding Chief of Surgery at Scarborough General Hospital, a position he held for 10 years. As well, Doug was founding president of that hospital’s medical staff and a member of the hospital’s Board for 17 years.
Dr. Shady Ashamalla, MD University of Toronto 2005, is the Holly Street Clinic’s Quality Assurance Advisor and Co-Medical Director. Dr. Ashamalla is Assistant Professor of Surgery, Odette Cancer Centre and Head, Division of General Surgery at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto and has won numerous teaching and education awards including the General Surgical Oncology Fellowship Mentorship Award, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto in 2020.
